1992 Galmer Indycar
Technically, it was driven on Fridays and Saturdays for qualifying and practice – but relatively few miles were put on it, and it hasn’t been driven since 1992.
Primarily driven by former taxi driver and Miami Vice star Danny Sullivan, this Galmer chassis was built by the Galles/Kraco team in lieu of the typical Lola chassis that made up most of the Indycar field, this car finished fourth to teammate Al Unser Jr. in the 1992 Indy 500, and won Long Beach earlier that year.
It obviously needs going through, and will need an engine management system to run as the original was confiscated by Chevrolet after the race season. But this could be a great way to be one of the fastest cars at any vintage event.
It’s on Race-Cars.com in Dallas for $65k or offer.
