Nineteen Grand Is Hard To Fathom For A NEW Corolla, Let Alone One Over Thirty Years Old

1984 Toyota Sprinter Trueno

But this is the legendary AE86-chassis Corolla – or, more accurately for this Japanese-market car, a Sprinter Trueno. These have become renowned as a lightweight, great-handling sports car that is remarkably proficient at drifting – and thus solid examples tend to fetch big money.

This one wears a wide-body kit with flares, air dam, and rocker covers – all nicely painted pieces that will get ripped off the first time a drift goes wrong – and sits quite low over deep-dish alloy wheels. It’s a good look, though many prefer the original lines of an unmodified car. It looks to be well put together, though, and should be plenty of fun.

It’s on eBay in Houston for $19k or offer.1984 Toyota Sprinter Trueno engine 1984 Toyota Sprinter Trueno red profile 1984 Toyota Sprinter Trueno interior
