Yeah, it’s a small fraction of what an original D-Type would cost, and about a quarter of what one of Jaguar’s own XK-SS continuation cars are selling for. Still, it has to be a hard sale.
It is gorgeous, though..and with a triple-Weber fed 4.2 under the hand-formed aluminium bonnet, it should be properly quick. We can easily imagine that some vintage organizations will allow this beauty in period rallies and the like. Plus, you wouldn’t destroy a priceless original.
