Dance Ten, Looks Three

Dance Ten, Looks Three

1972 Datsun 240Z

Well, really, it doesn’t look bad at all from 10 feet away, but it needs some help inside and out. It’s one of those builds where all of the attention has been paid to the mechanicals, and little to cosmetics.

The big change is the RB25 under the hood – a twin-cam, turbocharged six cylinder out of the Japanese-market Skyline. It’s a popular swap as it seems to fit easily in the long, narrow engine compartment of the Z. 300+ hp is plenty for most drivers, but the seller notes that it’s been built with 600+ hp as a target. The suspension and chassis have been upgraded to suit the extra power as well.

Clean up the interior, possibly give it a coat of paint, and enjoy. Or keep it as is for a fun, cheap(ish) track rat.

It’s on eBay in Iowa for $20k or offer.
