1995 Acura Integra RS
No, seriously. You don’t need to be Roger Penske to win at the Brickyard..at least next year. The SCCA’s Runoffs – a weeklong orgy of amateur road-racing championship events – is coming to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the fall of 2017.
This thoroughly-modified Acura Integra is sure to be a top competitor in the STL class- Super Touring Lite – meant for small-bore (under two liter) cars, with limited modifications, and some serious suspension and aerodynamic tweaking. The builder started with the lightweight RS model Integra, which came with fewer options than most, and added a powerful engine based on the B18C5 block found in the limited-production Integra Type-R. The list of modifications is extensive and expensive, which is what it takes to excel at the top rungs of road racing.
And yet, with all that has gone into this car, it’s a bargain. It’s been competitive for several years of Runoffs events, so a win at Indy isn’t out of the question.
It’s on Craigslist in Connecticut for $20k or offer – note that it may be available for significantly less if you leave some parts behind.
