Iconic At Any Speed

1964 Chevrolet Corvair Monza

Some say Ralph Nader stole votes from Al Gore in the 2000 election, but to gearheads, his biggest crime was helping to kill off the excellent Chevrolet Corvair with his book Unsafe At Any Speed.

Here, GM went well off the reservation and built a unique, efficient, fun-to-drive car..that handled differently than most cars. This ’64 model looks great from a few feet away, though the seller notes that both the paint and the seats will likely need redone. However, at this price, those details can wait – this looks like a great candidate to just buy and drive for a few years without worrying about the cosmetics.

It’s on Grassroots Motorsports near Akron for $4100 or offer.1964 Chevrolet Corvair Monza engine 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Monza interior 1964 Chevrolet Corvair Monza black rear quarter
