A Sporty Coupe With More Ground Clearance Than Modern SUVs

A Sporty Coupe With More Ground Clearance Than Modern SUVs

1982 AMC Eagle SX/4

AMC built some weird stuff in the ’70s and ’80s. The Gremlin and Pacer were good cars, certainly, but they didn’t fit the mold of what other automakers offered. The Eagle was another odd one..and this SX/4, taking the Spirit coupe body and plopping it basically atop a Jeep chassis? Weird, but cool.

This one looks to be in quite good condition – not perfect, but a nice home restoration by an enthusiast. Upgraded seats and wheels from Jeep make everything a little bit nicer.

These made awesome rally cars back in the day – ¬†we’d love to try a rallycross in this beast.

It’s on eBay near Cleveland for $5500 or offer.1982 AMC Eagle SX4 engine 1982 AMC Eagle SX4 interior
