1996 Mazda Miata
Hot rodders did it. Carroll Shelby became rich doing it. Dropping a big engine in a smaller chassis is the classic formula for high performance, and the Miata is the most popular modern candidate.
This Miata has an LS2 out of a Pontiac GTO, though the plastic covers atop the engine spell out Corvette for some reason. No matter..this has to be one exhilarating ride. The seller claims over 500hp, in a car that should weigh around 2400 pounds – this should be a perfect track toy.
It’s on eBay in Memphis with reserve not yet met.
