But indeed, the 928 was the planned successor to the 911, since there was concern that the air cooled six would never be able to meet increasingly stringent emissions regulations. The thing is, the 928 has a completely different character, being a large, heavy front-engined coupe – it is more a cruiser like a Corvette of the period than a light sports car.
With only 66k on the odometer, this car is beautifully preserved. It likely sounds magnificent with the rear muffler bypass, as well. The Club Sport alloys are subtly staggered, and are a perfect choice. We’d love to add a bunch of miles to the total.
