Classy Alternative To A Westfalia

1999 Mercedes-Benz V-Class

We wanted to be very clever and add this to the “sleeper” category, but thought the better of it.

This unusual camper is based off the Mercedes-Benz V-Class – the most recent version is now sold in the US as the Metris. Outside the States, it’s called the Vito – which sounds like the perfect van for families on the Jersey shore.

This one looks to be very nicely kept on the outside, though the leather has seen better days. We can’t imagine the two-liter engine is particularly stout, so be careful trying to get up to speed. Plus, it can’t come to the US for another 8 years or this is limited to our friends in the North. As it was built for the UK market, the RHD is a bit of a drag as well.

It’s on eBay in British Columbia for around $10k US or offer.1999 Mercedes-Benz V-Class interior 1999 Mercedes-Benz V-Class green rear quarter
