1979 Porsche 911SC Targa
The air-cooled 911 market is booming. Cars that might have sold for $15k a few years ago have doubled in value. Early cars are fetching over six figures.
Cars like this, having been modified with a slantnose sometime in the ’80s, seem to buck the trend. There were so many 911s modified with bulbous flares to ape the factory 935 racer – but almost never with any sort of performance boost to back up the looks. This one could be like those..but unusually, it’s fitted with a supercharger to bump power up to around 300hp.
This could be some serious fun. The seller notes some overspray, and we see some places where detailing would pay dividends. Still..it’s an interesting study in the Porsche market.
It’s on Grassroots Motorsports in Colorado for $35k or offer.
