1968 Volkswagen Type 3
An automatic transmission? Really? That’s quite unusual – ’68 was the first year VW offered a two-pedal setup in the Type 3. The custom tweed-covered interior looks good, though certainly not period correct. The car looks magnificent from ten feet – the black paint shines nicely, the chrome steel wheels gleam, and everything looks hunkered down nicely as the torsion bars have been lowered.
But the rust is there. Bubbles abound. It’ll take some work to revive the bodywork, but this looks like a lovely cruiser even with the rot.
It’s on eBay in Florida for $15k or offer.
