1982 Datsun 280ZX Turbo
Indeed, the 280ZX was such a far departure from the relatively raw 240Z that it’s hard to believe the two are related. Pillowy seat cushions and leather replaced thin vinyl seats. Sound deadening replaced thin sheetmetal. The turbo engine option brought some performance back, but the character of the two cars couldn’t be more different.
This 280ZX Turbo is stunningly clean, though having lived in the South for it’s entire life it’s not surprising. Only 52k on the odometer means this is pretty close to new. The vinyl on the hood surrounding the power bulge is a bit odd, especially as it doesn’t match the red pinstriping, but it was likely added by the dealer when new. The bordello red interior is in great condition – unusually, it doesn’t look like the dash has cracked at all.
It’s on eBay in Georgia for $20k or offer.
