If It’s Not Painted Red, Is It Really An Italian Sports Car?

1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider

Obviously, yes, but it seems that nearly all old Alfa and Fiat Spiders were either delivered in rosso corsa, or painted red some time later. This Giulietta Spider is quite attractive in grey, even if the paint isn’t perfect. We love the red seats and transmission tunnel carpeting – why don’t more modern cars have brightly-colored interiors?

This Alfa Romeo looks to have been nicely restored except the paint, and a five-speed transmission has been fitted in place of the original four-speed unit, likely making highway driving a bit more comfortable. We love it.

It’s on eBay near Chicago for $44k or offer.1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider engine 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider grey rear quarter 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider interior
