1985 Porsche 911 SC
Read any book, website, or magazine, or talk to anyone well versed in used Porsches, and there will be two familiar phrases throughout: “Pre-purchase inspection,” and “full service history.” Certainly, there should be no problem having this car inspected by a marque expert, but the seller notes that there are no records of service – as a previous owner was a Porsche mechanic.
We wonder if that’s why it’s so reasonably priced? We’ve noticed that the 911 SC has been trading for $40k or more lately.
This is a stunning car, records or not. The period-correct BBS alloys are a great choice, and the car looks absolutely perfect inside and out. It has been repainted in the original Guards Red. Will the repaint and the uncertain history keep the price down and the collectors away?
It’s on eBay in Brooklyn for $33k or offer.
