1993 Mazda RX7
Someone clearly loved the original The Fast and the Furious film, as they decided to meld two of the “star” cars into one unique performance machine. The FD-chassis RX7 is renowned for light weight, great handling, and beautiful styling, but the twin-turbo rotary engine is fragile. The Toyota Supra, however, has a stout inline six-cylinder that can take massive amounts of turbo boost.
That six is absolutely shoehorned into the tiny RX7 engine bay. So much that the battery has been haphazardly relocated behind the seats with a bunch of floppy wires. That will need sorted. This has some paint flaws, as well. Furthermore, the Car Fax reflects a salvage title – though the seller claims the title is clean.
There are a bunch of red flags on this car, but it’s such an interesting swap we felt the need to share.
It’s on eBay in New York for $22k or offer.
