1978 Datsun 280Z
This car is a study in contrasts. The wide-fendered body kit and forward-mounted side mirrors are modifications typically seen on Japanese-market tuner Zs, while the small-block Chevy and automatic transmission (?!) are clearly American.
The bodywork looks stellar, and it appears that plenty of work has gone into the suspension. A new, more appropriate drivetrain – might we suggest an RB-series twin turbo out of a Skyline – would make this the complete package.
The clutch pedal is still mounted, after all.
It’s on eBay in Texas for $38k or offer.
