Two Rotors, Five Letters

Two Rotors, Five Letters

1984 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE

In the world of early RX-7s, a “five-letter” car is the late-model GSL-SE, which recieved much more than a longer piece of plastic on the hatch lid. This car was the only first-generation RX-7 to be equipped with the larger, more powerful 13B rotary, versus the early 12A engine. It’s also the only one with fuel injection. Larger disc brakes are part of this model, as well.

While not perfect, it looks very close. The black paint looks to be in excellent condition, though we’d love to see better photos to confirm.

This is an icon of Japanese sports cars, and will continue to be sought by collectors.

It’s on eBay in Texas for $8k or offer.1984 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE engine 1984 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE interior
