G, Mister, Awful Long Nose You Got There

1972 Datsun 240Z

The extended bumper–known as the G-nose–found on this car was a Japanese-market factory option, and was quite popular. Many of these have been brought over to US-market cars, as well, and they lend a unique look to a familiar sportscar.

This one has been extensively modified, from handsome Minilite-style alloys to a triple-Mikuni carburetor setup, to a roll bar. The seller infuriatingly refers to this as a “race” car, however, which by the full interior – which, in a rare red, is stunning – and beautiful paint it is clearly not. It might be fun for track days, however.

It’s on eBay in San Diego with reserve not yet met.1972 Datsun 240Z interior 1972 Datsun 240Z engine
