1971 Triumph Vitesse
The 2.5 liter class of Trans-Am racing is legendary among import enthusiasts. Datsun, Alfa, and BMW competed and won frequently. Less known is the story of this Triumph Vitesse, built by iconic Triumph guru Kas Kastner. Apparently it never got the development it deserved, and only ran three races before being shelved by British Leyland.
It looks perfect, having been raced for decades in SCCA and vintage events. The claimed 211 wheel horsepower is impressive, and should let this quirky sedan scoot.
It’s on eBay in California.
