1975 Mini 1275GT
200hp in a classic Mini has to be insane to drive, likely with debilitating torquesteer. Per the seller, it “was meant to scare the shit out of you when you punch the gas.” Even so, we’d love a chance to get behind the wheel of this custom-built beast.
It was a “mascot” car for a clothing company, so there are plenty of custom styling touches that might need massaged for the next owner. Those seats, for example, look unbearable. The Vauxhall twin-cam powerplant might be a challenge to source consumables over here, but with some cross-referencing other GM (or even Daewoo) parts, it might not be too bad.
It’s on eBay in Louisiana for $22,500 or offer.
