1988 BMW M5
The E28 M5 is an enigma. It’s the first real “M” car that mortals could buy (the awesome M1, of course, came first) but it seems to not get the recognition seen by the later M3. It is possibly one of the best classic sports sedan values.
This one apparently has unspecified Dinan upgrades, which for all we can tell are limited to five chrome letters on the trunklid. Otherwise, this unusual package–wearing black leather rather than tan on most US-bound M5s–is stunning.
It’s on eBay in New York with reserve not yet met.
