1988 Mazda 323GTX
For the rest of the world, homologation specials for rallying were nothing new in the late 80’s, but the US never really got much that looked stage ready until the Mazda 323GTX came along. Looking like a dumpy commuter, this packed a turbocharged engine and all-wheel-drive into a tiny hatch.
This one has been lightly, reversibly modified, and looks good save the rusty sunroof. It’s priced a bit high for what it is, but there are so few left these are sure to be sought after in the years to come.
It’s on Craigslist in Florida for $11k.
