Like so many low-volume English sports car makers, Jensen had to ally with bigger OEMs for major components, especially engines. Chrysler in the late Sixties wasn’t a bad choice, with some magnificently-powerful V8s to choose from.
However, by the mid-70s when this Interceptor was built, emissions had strangled the 440ci V8 down to about 250hp, so it’s not quite the muscle machine it could have been. Very few convertible Interceptors were built, so this is quite desireable. Plus, it’s arguably one of the most attractive big GTs of the era, and it has been expertly restored.
It’s on eBay in Los Angeles for $75k or offer.
