1972 Lancia Fulvia: Car of the Day by Carchasers
There is no denying the appeal of homologation specials. OEMs have been building hot street cars in order to go racing for generations.
Lancia offered their HF designation for the quick Fulvia. With a longitudinal V-four engine powering the front wheels, it’s certainly a unique powertrain layout, but one that worked quite well on the street and on the stages.
This one is offered by the original owner, who apparently stored it forty years ago after driving twenty-two thousand kilometers. Why someone would park a two-year-old car, without considering selling it to someone who’d use it, is beyond most comprehension, but that’s how we get barn finds. It’s absolutely stunning, but will need gone through before hitting the road again, as it wears forty-year-old tires, among other things.
It’s on eBay in New York with reserve not yet met.
