1963 Morris Mini Cooper: Car of the Day by Carchasers
It can be said that the only thing worse than using up an old car is not using it. Long periods of sitting can wreak havoc on all consumable parts of a car. This Mini Cooper vintage racer has been sitting for over a decade. The sheetmetal is likely fine, but all of the rubber bits will need close inspection or replacement before hitting the track.
The time sitting is likely not great for the rebuilt-and-parked engine, either. The fresh piston rings and cylinder bores, devoid of any lubrication for many years, have likely become well acquainted. It will take work to bring this Mini back to life, but it could be worth it for a fun track toy.
It’s on eBay near Columbus for $32k or offer.
