1982 Jeep Scrambler: Car of the Day by Carchasers
Hardcore offroaders love the Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler for the extended wheelbase–apparently, the length adds stability when crawling up steep slopes. With the pretty oak-finished bed, we doubt this rig was built for hardcore hauling–can you imagine tossing a deer carcass in the back and staining the finish?
The lift kit isn’t as extreme as we’ve seen, and generally, the Jeep has been built with restraint–one could nearly build a Jeep from scratch via catalogs, so maintaining a good bit of original bits is nice to see. There appears to be some corrosion starting in the metal portions of the bed, so it would be best to monitor that.
It’s on eBay in Kentucky with reserve not yet met.
