Not an MGB. Better.

Not an MGB. Better.

1970 Datsun 2000: Car of the Day by Carchasers

While many believe the various Datsun roadsters were a cheap knockoff of the timeless, beloved MGB, the Japanese roadster was actually unveiled before the English one. Often, especially in the case of this 1970 Datsun 2000 roadster, it performed even better. These were capable of an honest 150hp out of a two-liter engine, fifty percent more than the MG was able to eke out.

This later-model roadster is a little less attractive than the earlier ones, as the higher windscreen is a bit ungainly and out of proportion to the rest of the car. Otherwise, it looks nearly perfect. The interior shows a bit of age, but that’s to be expected of a forty-five year old car.

It’s on eBay in Denver with reserve not yet met.
