1982 Innocenti Mini: Car of the Day by Carchasers
It’s almost unrecognizable as a Mini, but indeed the classic architecture is there, cloaked in a creased Bertone skin. Everything has been restyled, even the rocker cover on the classic BMC A-series engine is quite different than what would have been fitted in an English-built car. The single SU carburetor brings it back home.
The interior is handsome, with Jaeger gauges and an all-important fire extinguisher. This is reasonably priced for a vintage Mini, though some Cooper go-faster bits would be quite welcome.
It’s on eBay in Quebec for $7500 US.
