Eight-Ball: 1988 Porsche 944

Eight-Ball: 1988 Porsche 944

What hasn’t the venerable Chevrolet LSx V8 been swapped into? It’s lightweight, reliable, reasonably small (for a V8), and readily available, so the possibilities are seemingly endless. The Porsche 944 is a good option, as the well-balanced chassis should be able to easily handle the extra power. The swap seems to have been done pretty well, though there are some continuing faults mentioned – such as the non-operational speedometer and air conditioning – that really ought to be buttoned up¬†before¬†selling.

With the potential for at least double the stock horsepower with no visual clues to the change, this would be one heck of a sleeper for track days.

It’s on eBay in Arkansas for $15k or offer.
