Too many “cheap” vintage sports cars suffer from ill-advised shadetree restorations. A poor paint job, excessive body filler, shoddy interior installation, or overspray on engine components are often seen on these hack jobs. Sure, they can be corrected, but then why pay a premium for the restored car? Either buy one needing everything, or buy one complete.
Like this Fiat 124 Spider. New paint, reupholstered leather, nearly perfectly done. If one were to quibble, it appears that the engine didn’t come out for the restoration, as the engine bay hasn’t been repainted. No matter, as the car otherwise looks perfect.
It’s on eBay in Raleigh for $11,900 or offer.
