Not Too Rusty: 1971 Alfa Romeo GTV

Not Too Rusty: 1971 Alfa Romeo GTV

The Alfa Romeo GTV has to be regarded as one of the most beautiful small sedans ever built. Combined with the sensual sounds from the Alfa Twincam four cylinder, and the GTV deserves a place in any enthusiasts’ garage.

Problem is, they aren’t cheap. Good ones are pushing $50k. Not so good ones are creeping northward, though the rust repair needed on the cheapies will likely eclipse the total value of the finished project.

This one looks pretty good, with dozens of quality undercarriage photos to attest to the dry metal. The car will need paint, and some mechanical refreshing, but otherwise this looks like a straightforward project.

It’s on eBay in Redmond, Washington.
