The 1970 Datsun 240Z was a breakthrough, a popular-priced Grand Touring sportscar- a Japanese mini-E-type Jag. Great looks, great sound from the inline six, and a great price. (Hey, why doesn’t Nissan do it again?)
This 1976 280Z has a slightly bigger engine (2.8 vs 2.4 liters), and other than the ugly Federally-mandated bumpers (which would have to go!), still has all the great looks of the earlier cars. There aren’t many of these first generation Z’s in mint and original condition, amd fortunately this example is not equipped with the optional automatic.
