The Volvo of sports cars was a bit stodgy, but a solid driver and much more reliable than the more affordable Brit MG’s and Triumph’s of the day. Maybe that’s why Roger Moore drove one as Simon Templar in “The Saint,” the 1960’s UK spy/mystery/secret agent series. In any case, the ES variant was introduced in 1972, and was the only version made in 1973, the P1800’s final year.
This P1800ES has been stored in a garage in Dayton, Ohio for over 30 years, and while not concours condition, is certainly one of the better originals remaining. Shouldn’t take too much to bring this one back to life.
