Malcolm Sayer considered himself an aerodynamicist and engineer rather than a designer or stylist, but his works are nonetheless widely believed to be among the most beautiful cars ever designed. The E-Type is perhaps his finest work, so when an enthusiast attempts to personalize this iconic vehicle, the result is bound to be controversial.
This Jag was a cost-no-object project, reinventing, redesigning, and reengineering virtually every part of the car. An updated and modified XJ6 engine provides an estimated 300 horsepower, driving a T5 5-speed transmission. The top is gone- the “E-Spyder” is an open top vehicle, 24-7. The interior is full-custom, and feels more hot rod than Jaguar.
